Northampton
Northampton is a large market town in Northamptonshire, and is centrally located in the heart of England. It is situated about 67 miles (108 km) northwest of London and 50 miles (80 km) southeast of Birmingham.
Northampton is traditionally known for its shoe-making and other leather related industries. It has now developed into an important regional business centre for many of Britain’s top companies. In recent years over 200 national and international companies have moved into the town including National Panasonic, Wells Soft Drinks, Barclays Head Office, Avon Cosmetics, Carlsberg-Tetley and British Timken.
Today Northampton is consider to be a vibrant county town, where you will discover an interesting blend of old and new, heritage and tradition, a thriving arts scene and a superb range of retail outlets from major high street names to individual specialist shops and traditional markets.
There is also entertainment for everyone from performing and visual arts to cinemas, nightclubs, casinos and annual events. A popular entertainment centre is the Picturedrome, one of the town’s premiere live entertainment spots, which is situated at the end of a Victorian tree-lined avenue, close to the town centre. It was Northampton’s first purpose-built cinema in 1912 and has since been restored and converted into a distinctive venue bar that serves great food and drink as well as offering a diverse entertainment program. Sports events are also an important part of the Northampton scene, where premier league rugby, county cricket, football league and the annual Formula One Grand Prix event at Silverstone Circuit can be enjoyed.

Getting To Northampton
Traveling by road: it is ideally located near junctions 15, 15a and 16 of the M1 motorway.
Traveling by rail: Northampton railway station has regular services to and from London and Birmingham
International air travel: East Midlands airport and Luton Airport are quickly accessible via the M1and Birmingham International Airport is accessible via the M1/M6 motorway and also by train. Luton airport is within close proximity to Northampton so if you are traveling far and would like accommodation overnight to rest before your flight then book an Northampton apartment in advance.
