Milton Keynes

Milton Keynes sometimes abbreviated MK, is a large town in Buckinghamshire, in the south east of England, about 49 miles (79 km) north-west of London. 

Visitors to Milton Keynes are truly spoiled for choice when it comes to finding activities to enjoy whether it be sport, extreme adventures, shopping, historical, cultural, eating-out or just enjoying time outdoors.

Milton Keynes was designed to be a green city, with plenty of parks, lakes and cycle ways, offering a wide range of outdoor activities.  From water sports for the adventurous, to picnics and cycling for the more relaxed. The city hosts a massive indoor entertainment complex – the Xscape centre, which is one of only three in the UK.  Xscape houses a massive multiplex cinema, a range of shops and restaurants and indoor ski slope with real snow.  There is also an indoor climbing wall.  For the keen golfer, there are a number of golf courses from those suitable for the occasional to those for the regular golfer wanting a more challenging round. Sports car fanatics can also have a go at sports car racing on the famous Silverstone circuit, which is just a 15 minutes drive away from the city centre.

If you fancy experiencing a bit of the wilder side of life there are is the well-known Whipsnade Zoo and the world famous Woburn Safari Park within a short car journey.  Woburn Abbey and Deer park is the ancestral home of the Dukes of Bedford and in addition to the safari park their impressive stately home and park provides plenty of entertainment for the historically minded. 
Milton Keynes has numerous attractions to keep you entertained. 

The city’s 1,400 seat Milton Keynes Theatre, which opened in 1999 regularly hosts West End shows, and there is always a full programme of available for theatre lovers.  The art gallery hosts a fantastic range of exhibitions including some of the finest contemporary exhibitions in the UK. Restaurants and nightlife are vibrant to say the least – with venues featuring just about every cuisine you can imagine from around the world, while small, intimate country pubs are within in easy reach in the beautiful surrounding countryside.

Getting To Milton Keynes

Traveling by road: it is ideally located near junctions 13 and 14 of the M1 motorway. 

Traveling by rail: Milton Keynes railway station has regular services to and from London and Birmingham

International air travel: Luton Airport is quickly accessible via the M1 and Heathrow International Airport is accessible via the M25/M1 motorway or via train into London and from Euston station direct into Milton Keynes.
